Q: Where is Acony Bell Tiny Home Community located?

A: We’re located in Mills River, NC—just a few miles from Brevard, 15 minutes from Asheville Regional Airport, and 22 miles from downtown Asheville.

Q: Do you have any tiny homes for sale?

A: We don’t sell homes directly, but residents occasionally sell their tiny homes. These listings are handled by the owners and typically posted on our website and social media (they go quick!). Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for the latest availability, or check our website’s For Sale section.

Q: Do you build tiny houses?

A: We don’t build tiny homes, but we’re happy to recommend builders our residents have used and loved! Check out our blog “Guide to Finding the Right Tiny Home Builder” for our suggested builders.

Q: Do you rent tiny houses?

A: Yes! We have vacation rentals available for short-term stays. You can find and book them on our vacation rentals page or through Airbnb. Long-term rentals aren’t available, but our vacation rentals are perfect for trying out tiny living.

Q: Are DIY tiny homes allowed?

A: Yes! DIY homes are welcome as long as they have certification from Bildsworth or an electrical inspection, and meet our insurance requirements.

Q: Are there any tiny house lots available?

A: We’re currently at full capacity. Existing lots very rarely become available when residents move. The best way to stay informed about any future openings is to sign up for our newsletter, where we’ll announce availability as it happens.

Q: Are your tiny house vacation rentals pet friendly?

A: Yes, many of our vacation rentals welcome well-behaved pets! Be sure to check the individual home descriptions before booking to confirm the specific rental allows pets.

Q: Are there any tiny home rentals with bedrooms on the bottom floor?

A: Yes! Many of our vacation rentals have main-floor bedrooms or pullout options. You can browse all our homes and check floor plans on our vacation rentals page or through Airbnb to find one that works for you.

Q: Is the tiny home community pet friendly?

A: Yes, we’re very pet-friendly! There are many trails to enjoy with your four-legged friend in and around Acony Bell. We do require dogs to be leashed within the community and owners to clean up after their pets. Learn more about pet policies here: Pet Policies

Q: How many lots do you have at Acony Bell Tiny Home Community?

A: There are currently 90+ lots in Acony Bell, all with their own water, power, and sewer hookup. 7 of the homes are vacation rentals and are located in their own section of the village.

Q: What amenities are offered in your tiny house community?

A: Our full-time residents enjoy trash and recycling services, hiking trails throughout the property, a historic 100-year old stone community clubhouse with laundry facilities, community garden, chicken coop, fire pits, and more. Visit Our Community page for the complete list of amenities.

Q: How can I lease a lot to park my tiny home?

A: We’re currently at capacity. However, lots very rarely become available when residents move. You can contact us at info@aconybell.com or subscribe to our newsletter to stay informed about any future openings.

Q: Can I visit the community without an appointment?

A: We’re a private, gated community and don’t offer drop-in visits. To experience Acony Bell, we recommend booking one of our vacation rentals to get a true feel for tiny living and our community. If you’re interested in a home for sale, you can coordinate directly with the seller to arrange a viewing.

Q: Do you offer long-term rentals or allow part-time residents?

A: We only offer short-term vacation rentals and full-time residency—no long-term rentals or part-time arrangements are available. You can book a short-term stay through our website or Airbnb to experience the community.

Q: What certifications are required for tiny homes?

A: All homes must be RVIA, RVIC, ANSI, or NOAH certified, or approved by management. They must also be insured for replacement value and carry a minimum $300,000 liability policy.

Q: Do you allow permanent foundations or only homes on wheels?

A: We only allow tiny homes on wheels due to our RV park zoning requirements.

Q: Are there quiet hours in the community?

A: Yes, we observe quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM on weekdays and 11 PM to 8 AM on weekends. As a Dark Sky community, all exterior lights must be turned off by 10 PM and face downward when in use.

Q: Is there parking for visitors/additional vehicles?

A: Each site has designated parking for up to 2 vehicles. Visitors must park in designated spaces only. Trailers, RVs, ATVs, four-wheelers, and motor bikes are not allowed on the premises.
